Bookcampsites.com was founded in 2008 by Leo Wallace, a travel writer and media consultant, and Sam Bunney, an accounts manager for one of the UK's largest independent tour operators. It has now grown to include a team of passionate campers and web developers who were quickly growing tired of the fact that camping holidays seemed to take a week longer than any other kind of holiday to plan and book!
The Bookcampsites.com team have always cared deeply about camping in the UK, and have built up a network of websites, including the free guide Beach Campsites UK, for nothing other than to promote this great British pastime. Many people, from the Guardian to the Guyrope Gourmet, trust our opinions on camping and British campsites.
Working in consultation with campsite owners, Bookcampsites.com has been developed over the last year and a half to match the needs of campers and campsites alike.
